This ministry proclaims the Word of God as scheduled at a designated weekend Mass and on certain Holy Days. The lector must prepare for his/her assignment approximately one week ahead. Please review the following requirements to be a Lector:
- Confidence to proclaim the Word in front of the assembly,
- Be familiar with the Scripture in your personal prayer life,
- Actively live your Catholic faith (enabling you to proclaim the faith from your heart because you are exercising it)
- Be willing to attend training
- Billing to develop your proclamation skills on your own, if needed.
